About the Centre

The Centre for Indian Knowledge Systems (IKS) at Career Point University, Kota, established in July 2023, is a dedicated academic and research hub committed to exploring, preserving, and promoting India’s rich intellectual traditions. Anchored within the framework of the Indian Knowledge Systems Division, Ministry of Education, Government of India, this Centre reflects the national vision of integrating India's indigenous knowledge into modern academic discourse and development strategies.

The Centre focuses on interdisciplinary research and innovation in Vedic Philosophical and Cognitive Sciences, Contemporary Social and Cultural Sciences, and Political, Economic, and Strategic Sciences.

Vision

To serve as a leading academic centre of excellence for Indian Knowledge Systems by innovating and disseminating ancient wisdom and practices through modern scholarship, thus promoting cultural pride, intellectual depth, and national development.

Mission

  • To build a vibrant research and learning ecosystem for IKS-based knowledge traditions.
  • To integrate Indian epistemologies and classical sources with contemporary studies in philosophy, culture, society, and strategic sciences.
  • To promote outreach, innovation, and academic collaborations within the broader framework of NEP 2020.
